EXCELLENT Based on 73 reviews Posted on Google HunnyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Richard was fantastic. We had another inspector complete a report and give us the all-clear, only to discover severe termite damage halfway through our renovation. Richard came out and carried out an incredibly thorough inspection, identifying issues that had been missed previously and should have been picked up. His knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism were outstanding. I couldn’t recommend Richard highly enough, especially for anyone needing a pre-purchase or pre-building inspection. We only wish we had found him sooner!Posted on Google Stefan MontyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Richard has been conducting our pest control for the past 5 years since we moved into our house. We haven’t gone with anyone else and don’t need to because we are real happy with Richard and his services.Posted on Google Damian BrewerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend Richard.Posted on Google Angela PetersenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would not recommend the Gold Coast Pest Inspector services based on my experience during the sale process of my property. His written report identified some limited evidence of historic insect activity however did not confirm or find any live or active insects. However, verbal statements made during the inspection were significantly more severe than the findings contained in the report and created substantial concern for the buyer. He called into question the opinion of other qualified professional inspectors and made suggestions of major treatment costs and serious structural concerns verbally to the buyer - these were not included in his written report. He also suggested he could recommend treatment options although there was no live activity to treat and gave treatment price indications that were completely unrealistic without solid evidence of activity. In my opinion, the verbal communication was not appropriately balanced to the documented findings and unnecessarily impacted the sale process.Posted on Google Eve DewarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Effective management of fire ant infestations begins with vigilant surveillance and early detection. Residents, businesses, and local authorities must remain alert for signs of fire ant activity, such as the distinctive mound-like nests or the presence of the insects themselves. Reporting any suspected sightings to the relevant authorities is crucial in facilitating a swift response and containing the spread of these pests.
The National Fire Ant Eradication Program, a collaborative effort between state, territory, and federal governments, has implemented a comprehensive strategy to combat the fire ant invasion. This includes targeted baiting programs, remote sensing technology to identify nests, and trained detection dogs. Residents and businesses can also treat their own properties with approved fire ant baits or engage a professional pest exterminator to carry out inspection and eradication services.
Limiting the movement of materials that could harbour fire ants, such as soil, landscaping supplies, and organic waste, is crucial in preventing the further spread of these pests. Residents and businesses within the designated fire ant biosecurity zones must adhere to strict regulations regarding the transportation of these materials, helping to contain the infestation and safeguard the wider region.
Engaging the local community and raising awareness about the fire ant threat is essential for the success of the eradication efforts. Providing residents and businesses with comprehensive information on identification, reporting procedures, and effective management strategies empowers them to play an active role in the fight against these invasive insects.
